Series I: Love During Political Turmoil What does the Bible tell us?
The class will be held in the Session Room (and on Zoom)
During the next four weeks, Crossroads will explore how to maintain loving relationships during times of great political turmoil. Each of our four- week topics include a Sunday on biblical foundations, a special workshop or panel, a morning for coffee and robust discussion, and an ending activity hour to put the love lessons learned into action. We hope you can join us for this very timely topic.
Mary Beth Neely will lead the class this week by reflecting on what the Bible has to say about loving across the political divide. The Bible has a great deal to say about political divisions and disagreements. Scripture is quite clear about how we should treat others, and Jesus’ ministry was largely dedicated to teaching us how to love each other without compromising our efforts toward creating a just world. We will examine a few scripture passages, and discuss how they might resonate for us in America of 2024. Please come and share your perspective.
