Ministry Purpose:
The purpose of the Adult Discipleship Ministry is to create and oversee a meaningful program of adult education designed to further the mission of Fort King PC: “to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God in the world.”
Ministry Responsibilities:
· Plan and carry out Crossroads II classes every Sunday from September through May, making sure that people can attend in person or by Zoom
· Oversee the Hope House, planning programs and making sure they are carried out
· Maintain and oversee the church library
· Plan and carry out a summer book club
· Arrange for various Bible studies, as needed
· Oversee a weekly Tai Chi class
· Develop and oversee budget expenditures for the ministry
Ministry Relationships and Accountability:
The Adult Discipleship Ministry is accountable to the Session. It is responsible for making monthly reports to the Session. Furthermore, the ministry is expected to collaborate with all the other ministries as they strive together to do God’s work in the world.
