Crossroads class this Sunday will be led by Barbara Fitos. The focus is on chapter 4 of Miracles and Wonder – the crucifixion. Pagels asks – What motivates the gospel writers in recreating the story of Jesus’ death by crucifixion? She posits that we all “know” the passion narrative but…”Is this what actually happened? No one doubts that Jesus was crucified; everyone from his devoted followers to their harshest critics agree on this… Yet historians raise serious questions about how [and perhaps why] it happened.”
We consider Barbara Fitos one of our own at Fort King, our “resident Catholic. Barbara is a retired banker, and former County Commissioner, and most recently serves as a contributing columnist for the newly published MARION MOSAIC. A 45 year+ resident of Ocala, she is still actively engaged in our civic and cultural community and proud grandmother to the “Fitos4”.
