I see God in many ways; With a song in my heart; thoughts from our music director, Rick Roberts.
Good Monday Morning!
It was good to see a nice attendance last night for the Christmas drama, “Benjamin’s Wish”. Everyone did an outstanding job. The carols, the singers and readers really put all of us in the Christmas mood.

Let’s start the week with a joke:
Have you ever wondered what God looks like? Truthfully, I’ve never really thought about what God looks like. Oh, I’ve seen paintings and frescos that seem to depict our Creator, but did those artists really know what God looks like?
I don’t think so. Never having “seen” God, however, I do know some things about our Creator – omnipotent, almighty, everlasting, loving, comforting, healing, always present.
The Bible as well reveals to us the attributes of God:
I see God in many ways, and I believe you will agree with me. For instance, I see God when someone reaches out to comfort others. I see God in the rising and setting of the sun. I see God in the faces of those giving praise and honor in worship. I see God in the unfolding petals of a rose. I see God in those who stand for justice and equality. I see God in the beauty of the majestic mountains and peaceful valleys. I see God in the faces of our youth in singing and serving as acolytes. I see God in the handiwork of our prayer shawl creators. I see God in those who so faithfully serve in our many ministries. I could go on and on, but I believe Jeremiah stated it much better than I can:
If we look around us, finding the good and wonderful in this world, we see God. Isn’t that marvelous!
Have a blessed day.
With a song in my heart,
Rick
