Bruce, Manal and Jon are all well known to us at Fort King PC. All three have worked with the criminal justice system of Marion County.
The discussion will begin with the scripture passages attached to this email. As Bruce notes, “Jesus’ Kingdom preaching is highly practical, not theological or abstract. The element that most consistently gets left out of the discussion is money.” How does that Kingdom preaching relate to the real world of Ocala/ Marion County today? Manal, Jon and Bruce together will address different facets of that question.

A devotional reflection

FORGIVENESS
I find myself at an entirely new stage of life: closing out a life that has lasted 90 years. Adjusting to being a solitary person after 68 years of being part of a wonderful marriage. I thank God for allowing me to be so comfortable while knowing how many others throughout the world are far less comfortable. So, I’m constantly grateful for that.
Perhaps the greatest difficulty that faces me daily is something that was in the last line of a recent poem that Judith Bullen wrote. “Dare to love our enemy as we love ourselves.” And again, in the Lord’s Prayer, “… forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.”
