News You Need to Know! – (for Sunday, October 11th)
Good morning Fort King Friends,
I hope youve safely weathered the storms of this past week!
Please keep our neighbors in the path of Hurricane Isaias in your prayers.
And lets get to this weekends NEWS YOU NEED TO KNOW!
Stewardship Emphasis begins this Sunday at Fort King:
This Sunday we begin our annual stewardship emphasis, "Step Up to the Plate." In baseball, every player eventually has a turn at bat, a chance to contribute to the team’s success. In the same way, each of us has an opportunity to participate in God’s work through the gifts of our time, talents, and financial support.
Over the next three weeks we will reflect on the many ways God has blessed us and consider how we are being called to step forward in faith and generosity. Stewardship is not simply about meeting a budget; it is about growing in gratitude, sharing in ministry, and helping our church continue to serve Christ in our community and beyond.
Watch for a packet of information that has been mailed out to all our members and friends, read through the material carefully, and begin praying over how God is calling each of us to Step Up to the Plate! Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in person or online: Join Worship Service / Meeting ID: 876 3993 8456 / Passcode: 1336
Crossroads: The Future Is Peace
Mary Beth Neely will lead Crossroads this Sunday as we delve into the historical backdrop for the current conflict and crisis in Israel, in Gaza and in the West Bank. What events over the years have brought Israelis and Palestinians to this place? For the next Two Sundays we will explore the historical background to the conflict. Coffee and Conversation begins at 8:45 a.m., and Class will begin at 9:00 a.m. If you cant make it in person, join us online. Join Crossroads Meeting ID: 853 6022 6266 / Passcode: 350167
