Here’s the News You Need to Know!

Catherine Steddom Memorial Service

Important Notice: Join us Saturday, May 16th at 1:00 p.m., as we give thanks to God for the life and witness of Catherine Steddom, and entrust her soul to God’s everlasting care.

This Sunday at Crossroads

To conclude this year’s programming, the Crossroads Class is planning a Potluck Breakfast this Sunday at 9:00 a.m.; everyone is encouraged to bring something to share. After enjoying some good food and fellowship, we will look at the year just past, and take a look ahead to possible topics for next Fall.

Worship this Week at Fort King

You are warmly invited to join us this Sunday (May 17th) as we celebrate Ascension Sunday. On this day we remember Christ lifted up in glory, and sending us out in hope! We are also continuing our current sermon series looking at the “I Am” sayings from John. This week’s topic: “I Am the Way…We are the Wayfarers.”

Following the worship service, we have a brief Congregational Meeting scheduled to elect a new member to the Pastoral Nominating Committee (PNC) and hear a brief update on from the PNC. Members are strongly encouraged to attend, and all our visitors are welcome to stay!

Join us next Sunday for our Pentecost Worship our Church Picnic! Come celebrate the birthday of the church, the gift of the Holy Spirit and the vibrant life of our community! Everyone is encouraged to wear red or bright colors, and let’s fill our sanctuary with the joy and energy of Pentecost.

After worship, stay for our all‑church picnic—a relaxed time of food, fellowship, and fun for everyone! Your Fellowship Committee will provide the fried chicken and drinks. You are asked to a side dish or dessert to share, your appetite, and a friend!

Looking Ahead: Graduation Sunday

Do you have a graduate in your family – a child or grandchild you are especially proud of? Let us celebrate with you on May 31st.. Send us a picture of your graduate and a brief bio and we will lift them up and pray for them during the service!

Grace and Peace,

– Pastor Bob
