The Christmas spirit was dynamic; With a song in my heart; thoughts from our music director, Rick Roberts.
GOOD MONDAY MORNING!
What a great time we spent together yesterday evening. Hot dogs, Hot Chocolate, good fellowship and singing carols and Christmas songs. Everyone was in good voice and the Christmas spirit was dynamic.

Next to Easter, Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Advent services, beautiful music, the decorated sanctuary with deep red and green poinsettias and the Crismon tree. The smiles of the church family and overflowing good will. But most of all, the music of the season is uplifting and joyous.
The Scriptures have a thing or two to say about music:
|
Music is an important component of worship. Music sooths the aching heart, lifts your spirits, brings joy, scripture in song and reflects our feelings.
During this time of year, the singing of Christmas music is especially robust and full of joy. The excitement of the promise of the coming Saviour, the joy of corporate worship and the love we have for our God, and each other, is so evident. The best gift of all – the love of Jesus Christ. Now that’s a gift! Have a blessed day. With a song in my heart, Rick |
