The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. (Psalm 95:4,5);  With a song in my heart; thoughts from our music director, Rick Roberts.

Good morning, everyone,

We finally made it to Friday.  I hope everyone has had a blessed week.

Normally, on Friday’s, I usually talk about crazy things.  Today, it will be a little different because I think we need a little laughter:

One day, a police officer pulls a car over and
sees the back seat is full of penguins.

The officer tells the driver, “You can’t be doing this;
you must take these penguins to the zoo!”

The next day, the police officer pulls
the same car overand says,

“Hey! I told you to take these penguins to the zoo!”
The driver says, “I did,
and today I’m taking them to the movies!”

Now, that’s what I call being an accommodating lover of pets.  Which brings to mind that we should be lovers of all nature.

I’ve been fortunate to have made many travels around the globe.  I’ve enjoyed the beauty of an English garden with rainbows of color and wisteria embracing the house.  I’ve stood on the edge at the Grand Canyon and was in awe of the sight.  I’ve traveled the Alpine Way and was astonished at the majestic, snow-covered mountains against a palate of cobalt blue sky.  I’ve been in the desert of Arizona at night gazing at the animation of the twinkling stars.  In Ireland, I was amazed at the many, many shades of green.

God’s nature is impeccable, awe-inspiring, beautiful, and a gift from our Creator to enjoy.

In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. (Psalm 95:4,5)

The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands. (Psalm 19:1)

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. (Psalm 96:11,12)

These are just a few examples of the words of gratitude and acknowledgement of Gods glory found in the Psalms.

Search them out and be blessed.

Oh, just one more nature tale:
Q: Why don’t ants get sick?
A: Because they have little antibodies

See you Sunday with a song in my heart,

Rick
