Two Training Events
Good evening Fort King,
I wanted to let you know of two upcoming training events to which YOU are invited.
The first is a Child Protection Training Workshop, on Sunday, March 8th after the worship service, in the Fellowship Hall. This training is required for volunteers who currently are – or may in the future – work with children and youth, such as VBS, Sunday morning child-care, monthly youth activities, Art 4 All, etc. If you’ve gone through our training in the past, please note it should be renewed every 2-3 years. The YAK Ministry Team is providing a light lunch, and Bob Schlegel will lead the training using materials that come from Scouting America. If you’d like to attend, please let Harvey Bohner know.
The second event is a Church Security Workshop on Monday, March 9th, at 9:30 a.m., led by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. The training will consist of two parts: First, a security inspection of our church grounds, and then concluding with a discussion of best practices in an “Active Shooter” situation. Any interested persons are invited to attend. Speak with Daniel Banks for more details.
That’s Sunday, March 8th: Child Protection Training
