“Joy, Peace, Hope and Love” are not just words for the season, but for all year ’round; With a song in my heart; thoughts from our music director, Rick Roberts.
Good Wonderful Wednesday!
Brrrrrrrrrrrrr….It’s cold this morning. I wanted to stay in bed wrapped in the cocoon of my covers this morning. One of the best things about retirement is you don’t necessarily have to get out of bed, especially on these cold mornings. I surely remember those days of dealing with frost, cold vehicle seats, and seeing your breath. I don’t miss it at all.
Today is the quote of the week:

Today is the quote of the week:
I wish we could celebrate the season of love, fellowship, warmth, giving, and such a wonderful time all year round. How great is it to get together, form a circle, and enjoy hot dogs and carols? How striking it is lighting the candles to brighten the sanctuary on Christmas Eve? How marvelous is the mess of ribbons and bows and wrapping paper scattered about around the Christmas tree? How about the sublime good feelings and warmth we have for each other during this season?
Aha! We have the opportunity to celebrate this season every day, and we find encouragement to do so in the Scriptures. Our loving God has given us the ways to accomplish an enduring spirit of the season:
There are many more “directions and instructions” in the Bible. We only need to read and cherish the Word. There is a verse that I call the
Scripture of Promise –
“Joy, Peace, Hope and Love” are not just words for the season, but for all year ’round.
Have a blessed day.
With a song in my heart,
Rick
